maverick a strike

PnP workers are striking today.
I was dispatched to the Pinelands store (after appointment with dentist) and by 12:14 the store had closed for trading.
Toy-toying is infectious and has quite nice to groove to.

also, Darkness for Beginners is now ready:

Darkness for Beginnners

1. X-dream Irritant (Kroenen's auto cut)
2. Placebo Bruise Pristine
3. Cato Salsa Experience So the Circus is back in Town
4. Marylin Manson Irresponsible Hate Anthem
5. Prodigy Full Throttle (darker take)
6. CounterStrike Hollow
7. Jimmy Eat World Bleed American
8. Paul McCartney I Love You
(as played by Tool)
9. Spiritualized I think I'm in Love

Kroenen

saw Hellboy on DVD recently - I really liked the emphasis on myth, specifically around Project Ragna Rog .
also really, really liked the Kroenen character - very... cinematic.

maybe it's time to start working on a compilation named Kroenen - what would suit?

soo ruff

Oooh, doon't I look lank ruff in this swanky shot from Saturday's walk.

happiemess is hard to remember

big happiemess w/end - obviously (as per note to self) I can't remember
any of it.
big news is that the SO4-extract works. the yield is still low but that
can be fixed with a better first solvent.

panic

Panic on the streets of London,
Panic on the streets of Birmingham
I wonder to myself
Could life ever be sane again?

come armageddon
come armageddon - come
everyday is like sunday
everyday is silent and grey
hide on the promenade
etch on a postcard:
How I Dearly Wish I Was Not Here
in the seaside town
that they forgot to bomb
come, come nuclear bomb
come, come nuclear bomb!

also (ripped from news.google.com and linked sites while googling the
London bombings while the G8 groove around Scotland):
US president George Bush has urged people to get on their bikes and tour
Scotland's "beautiful" countryside. He was speaking after crashing into
a Strathclyde Police officer while riding his mountain bike on the
Gleneagles Estate in Perthshire. ...

Yesterday's accident was just one in a long list of Bush mishaps.

In May last year he fell off his mountain bike, grazing his chin, upper
lip, nose, both knees, and his right hand, while riding on his ranch in
Texas.

In 2002, Mr Bush fainted and fell off his sofa in the White House when
he choked on a pretzel while watching American football. He passed out
for a few seconds, then woke up and called for White House medical
staff.

In June 2003, he fell off his high-tech Segway scooter as he stepped on
to it at his family estate in Kennebunkport, Maine. But he managed to
leap to safety, landing on his feet.

wisdom

'Drinking makes you happy with your body the way it is.' - Robert Barone

Anita dyed her hair auburn tonite - very cute.
Kinda wish I'd sometime dye mine - never done nothing like that.
Remember Marcel's black hair?

indian summer

Nice warm spell in winter at the mo'
Not sure if it qualifies as an indian summer (e2 suggests maybe yes) -
either way it's nice.
Serious walk yesterday afternoon, if only the weather would last into
the w/end (not like last oone - howling gales).

Music: nothing special at the mo' - reading a bunch of old Mojo mags I
got from Adrian. Speed along new Tool album (or Meshuggah).
